You know how you wish every year that you’ll get that one awesome birthday present? Maybe Adidas, a PINK jacket, makeup, or new clothes? Well, this year I got the surprise of my life!

Mom said she was taking me to downtown Dallas, just to drive through the city and look at the buildings at night.  I like to do that so was happy to get out of the house. We drove through downtown, she pointed out Dealey Plaza, then we got on the highway going the opposite way from home.

I thought we’d be going around the city and curving back towards home, but we ended up at American Airlines Center. She asked if I wanted to go in – I asked what was going on. She pulled out the tickets and I screamed! My first concert and it was to Twenty One Pilots!

We found our seats, then got cokes and nachos. On the way back in, Mom asked the usher if there were closer stairs to our seats so we wouldn’t have to crawl over 15 people. I guess since Mom was so nice, or looked unsteady carrying those nachos, she let us sit in these seats right there on the landing. Awesome seats!

A group called Judah and the Lion was on first and were pretty good. Then Jon Bellion came on stage. He was energetic and put on a good show too. Of course, he sang All Time Low.

Then for the main event – I was shook when TOP came out! Both Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun were intense. Tyler sang and ran around the stage with all his energy. Josh was so exciting on the drums – he moved to the beat and actually ran over to Tyler’s piano and did a back flip off of it! They interacted a lot with the audience and Tyler even got inside a ball and rolled across the audience that were in the floor section.

The best part was when Tyler was playing the piano, a roadie put a blanket over him and the piano. It finally dropped, he had disappeared. Then, people started screaming. We looked to our left and there he was, on a platform on the same level as us, in the next section of seats. So…what does Rhaya do? Run over, of course. I got about 10 feet away from him!  I thought I was going to cry.

They really played to the audience and had us sing quite a bit. Mom even did it. It was something to see 21,000 people unified by the awesome Twenty One Pilots!

Until next time, Rhaya
