Hey, guys, ever wanted some good entertainment but kinda low on cash? Check out these ideas, good for days or nights.

Movies Night In – alone or with friends, movies are great time zappers! Check out a Red Box – they’re located everywhere – and for less than $2.00 you can have a night of laughs, action, drama…or if you dare, a good scare. (I didn’t rhyme on purpose, just happens I’m talented that way)

You can also check out movies on Amazon Prime. 100s of movie titles just for becoming a member, with a 30-day money back guarantee. It’s worth checking out! Also includes free shipping when you buy things.

Movies Night Out – dollar movies are the way to go – just check around your city to find one. They’re not first run, but they’re still the good ones that came out a few months before. And who’s going to look in your pocket for that bag of skittles you’re sneaking in?

Games night – by yourself or with friends and family, games can really make for some fun time! I’m not talking video games this time, I’m talking real games where you sit down and actually talk with each other (or to yourself during that alone time)                                                                                            First we’ll look at some board games to play in a group, then we’ll scale down to a one player game.

  • 3+ Apples to Apples is my all-time favorite. You can play with 3, but it’s more fun with more.    Here you do your best to justify why your card is the best one played instead of the others. Get prepared for some crazy conversations!
  • 3+ Uno & Skip-Bo are the awsome-est card games for 3 or more. Of course it’s more fun the more that play. Good time to piss each other off, in a friendly sort of way.
  • 3-5 You’re Bluffing is a fun game too. You’re at an auction where you bid against each other. But don’t get stressed when someone outbids you, it’s crappy but just chill!
  • 2-4 Scrabble is great for those that like words and can spell, or want to know how. If you play with some old people, like parents or grandparents, you can find out what some words are that you’ll never use. Or, you can do like me and use normal words you already know and can spell. Either way, it’s a fun board game.
  • 2+ Yahtzee is on the lines of Poker. (Poker’s a card game that people gamble on, and dates back to the cowboy days.) Well, in Yahtzee you roll the dice and try to get poker hands, like a straight, flush, 3 of a kind, etc. You keep score and who has the most points wins.
  • 1 Lumosity is a game that’s fun and expands your mind in ways you won’t believe! It’s online and it’s free! Just look it up on a search engine, go to their home page, and register with a name, email, and password. You can use it on your phone through the Lumosity App.
  • 1 Rush Hour is a mind-bending, non-electric, game that has levels for beginners all the way up to expert. It’s small and easy to travel with. Haven’t tried but I’ve been told it’ll fit in a medium or larger purse.

Well, hope this gave you some ideas for cheap entertainment. You can get these games and others at Amazon.com – and remember you can get free shipping and lots of movies with Amazon Prime. I’ll have to admit, playing games will lead to some good times. So go out and get a game or two – enjoy yourself!                         Shop at Amazon.com!

See ya,                                                                                                                                                                          Jacob
